Even though newborn sessions aren't my usual thing, when a client keeps coming back for me to capture all of life's special moments, I couldn't say no. There's something incredibly special about being trusted to document a family's journey, and when this wonderful family asked me to capture their newest addition, how could I resist? Sharing birth stories and capturing precious newborn moments with Mom was a delight. We skipped the overly staged perfection and went for something more authentic. Who needs staged newborn perfection when you can find beauty in the raw, sunlit moments?
Little Lorenzo was the star of the show, and boy, did he know how to make an entrance! Positioned next to a grand window, bathed in natural light, he looked like a little angel. The results speak for themselves—soft shadows, delicate features highlighted, and that unmistakable newborn glow. There was no need for props or elaborate setups; the simplicity and purity of the moment were enough.
Maybe I’ll do a few more of these. There's something undeniably magical about capturing the very beginning of a new life. Plus, seeing the joy on the parents' faces as they admire their little one is incredibly rewarding. So, here's to stepping out of your comfort zone and embracing new experiences.
