When I received a request to photograph this family, the client's last name immediately caught my attention. It was a name I recognized. It didn’t take long for me to realize that this was a family session for the most lovely woman who has been a fixture at the dentist's office for countless years and was now retiring. I was absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to capture this significant milestone and get to know her extended family even better.
Although the session took place early in the morning and I was worried about the bright sun, things seemed to work out as usual. The family did awesome, and we managed to dodge any unwanted squinting and shadows. Meeting her extended family was a treat. They were as charming and warm as she is, making the session feel more like a fun family gathering than a photoshoot. It was heartwarming to see the bonds they shared, each interaction filled with love and laughter.
The soon-to-be-retiree herself was a natural in front of the camera, her smile as bright and reassuring as ever.
